| The Flower Festival painted colorful at the beginning of Summer in Hokkaido was held in this year also. The exhibition was hold at the special event area that was prepared in Main Street Park , Sapporo. This is the 7th of the Flower Festival in Sapporo. In 1999, it was held for about one week from the 26th, June to the 4th, July at the special event area in Sapporo Main Street Park. As you know, Hokkaido is located in the northest in Japan. It is so cold in winter and it is very cool in summer. So many orchid lovers in Hokkaido are good at growing the cool type orchids. In the festival, many kinds of the cool type orchids like Disa, Masd. , Odm. etc. Total exhibited orchids were about 1500 plants. The scale is not lower than the other orchid show in Japan. In the next year, please make a chance to Hokkaido in this season and visit this festival. |
