The newly discovered Phragmipedium

NO.1@Phrag. tetziaffianum spec. nov.

@A new species of Phragmipedium was described by Mr. Olaf Gruss in Caesiana,15,2000. The plant was supplied by Mr. Alan Tetzlaff and the species name was associated to his father's name. The summary is as follows.

Phrag. tetzianum is similar to Phrag. richteri but it differs from it for a smaller number of leaves per bud, a longer flower with longer petals and a more intense coloring with short red hair on the edges, for a synsepalum longer than the lip, the oval form of the staminode and the thick hair only on the upper margin and the fine hair on the lateral and lower margin. There is no precise indication on the place of finding. Venezuela ?
Description
Plant:
terrestrial species with buds relatively close to each other ( distance 0.4 - 1 cm) and with a short stem, completely enclosed by six varginate leaves, imbricate at the base, laid out as a fan.
Leaves:
up to 50 cm long and 1.7 cm wide, lanceolate pointed, leathery. diagonais erect than arched, with a smooth, slightly cartilaginous margin, central veining hollowed.@
Inflorescence: up to 35 cm long with a round section, reddish brown, fine whitish hair, with 3 - 10 flowers.
Flowers: up to 24 cm wide and 10.5 - 12 cm. Dosal sepal, 5.4 - 6 cm and 1.5 - 1.6 cm wide. Overy, 5.2 cm long, dark red-brown with fine hair. Petal, up to 12 cm long and 0.8 cm at the base. Lip, 3.5 - 4 cm long and 1.5 - 2 cm wide.
