Yes, it is very interesting ! I have never seen.
At first, the color of flower is very dark. Someone might
say that it must be the natural hyrids
between appletonianum and villosum. Of course, we can not deny
it is.
But the shape and color of leavesis exactly villosum.
And the shape of flower is very similar to villosum, although
in detail, the shape is diffeent a little bit from the normal
clone.
Especialy the shape of pouch is differ from the typical villosum.
But fundamentally, the shape is
very similar to villosum.
So I gues, it is a particular clone
of villosum with darker color flowers. It might be a mutant.
Of course, it should be very rare, I believe.
Some colony is occupied by the same clones of this and the colony
is independent from other colonies, you may call this clone a
new variety. But for only a few plants in normal plants, we don't
use a new variety name. And instead of using a new variety name
in order to make the plant differ from normal plants, you had
better use the specific cultiver name like ' Siripon's dark face
' just you use now.
Finally, I can noy say the identication exactly. I'm very sorry.
But nobody knows....., I guess. Can you understand what I mean
?
