(5) Paph. concolor forma sulphurinum 011218
For the album form of Paph. concoor, Paph. concolor forma sulphurinum was described by Mr. Olaf Gruss in Die Orchidee 52 (5), 575, 2001. In truth, the Paph. concolor forma sulphurinum was described in 1888 as Cypripedium concolor var. sulphurinum. This yellow form without any red pigmentation were described by Reichenbach and now combinated to a forma. The Paph. concolor var. imaculatum 2000 were described as a variety and not as a forma and has also a yellow colour. On the other hand, Paph. concolor forma album was described by Guido Braem but without a type. So, this is described by Mr. Olaf Gruss as the correct species name now officialy. The forma album shall have a white groundcolour and would be another form whe it would be described correctly.
This information was presented by Mr. Olaf Gruss , a orchid friend in germany. Thank you, Olaf.
